I have wondered for years if my husband is an HFA. He drinks daily, average of about 30-40 drinks per week. Most of it alone and he hides a lot of it from me. He also seems to be able to control it. He will cut back for a few months but then the drinking will increase again for a few months. What is so confusing is that he does not appear to be drunk most of the time but there are nights when I don't want to be around him because he does not seem to be "all there." He does well at his job and is a good father and husband. I don't think he is going to respond well if I say anything to him about it.
